Coal Geologist

The Coal Geologist for Linc Energy Limited will be responsible for analysing, reporting and advising on the coal seam geology and coal characteristics in areas of interest to Linc Energy. The Coal Geologist will provide expert interpretation, evaluation and advice based on field and laboratory analysis of core and special core tests and phase behaviour. Working closely with the Manager " Geology and Exploration, UCG Technical team, Geology and Exploration team as well as the Environment team to design best practice UCG operations nationally and internationally.

-5-7 years experience Coal Geology experience
-Demonstrated field experience
-Demonstrated research & report writing experience
-Coal combustion experience desired

• Develop and execute coal analysis programs - field and laboratory analysis and interpretation of core and special core analysis and phase behaviour
• Coordinate special core analysis and cleat mapping studies for UCG design assessments
• Schedule and plan work activities and resource utilization to achieve required outcomes

• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure best practice UCG operations utilizing coal geological knowledge
• Provide reports, analysis and advice to technical colleagues and management on a regular basis
